I was scheduled to fly from Newark to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, August 18, 2024 on the 6:59 pm flight. I waited in the airport until 10:45 pm after the departure time was changed to 11:00 pm. This is when I was told my flight was canceled. I waited in the line at Newark Airport for almost 2 hours and was rebooked to leave from La Guardia on 8/19 at 8:55 pm. At 1:20 pm on 8/19 I received a message on the app and via email that the flight was canceled. I was rebooked to the 8:55 pm flight on 8/20 at out of La Guardia. I have now missed two days of work because of these cancellations. When I spoke to the reps at Jet Blue to get an earlier flight or a change to another airline I was told I had to fly to Jet Blue back to Fort Lauderdale. When I mentioned the compensation I was entitled to based on the new DOT rulings, I was told that did not apply to this situation. I believe I should get some compensation for 3 days of delays as well as get me on a flight back home as soon as possible – like today!!!! Where do I send my request for reimbursement for incurred expenses due to the delays? I was also on hold on the phone for almost 3 hours waiting for customer service representative to speak to about getting booked to an earlier flight. The rep was not responsive to the situation. Your customer service is terrible – Joanna Geraghty is obviously not getting the message across about customer service to her team.
